This year Tempo’s theme is Family and the program is filled with interesting touches in the innermost sphere.
The word family can be sensitive, arouse thoughts of security and community but also a sense of disappointment. Missing a family or not having a supportive family around when needed. This year’s theme puts the family under control. How can we look at an extended family concept? The biological family is one thing, but for many the self-elected family is just as important, if not more important.
PROGRAM OF THE YEAR: www.tempofestival.se
TICKETS: Pre-sale takes place at www.tempofestival.se/billetter/ or via the link here in the event.
During the festival, the ticket booths open one hour before the first show at each showroom and close when the last show starts.

Last spring, the first part of the album “Mi Amor” was released and in conjunction with the album’s second and final part being released this year, Miriam Bryant embarks on a long tour across the country. The tour will be the most comprehensive so far in her career.
Everyone knows that she has the voice, the star status and the charisma at this point. In the album “Mi Amor”, Miriam Bryant shows new sides of herself and her artistry. The album is recorded completely analogously to live instruments and for the first time Miriam sings newly written own material in Swedish; songs written together with Jocke Berg, Veronica Maggio, Adam Olenius and Maja Francis to name just a few. The release includes acclaimed singles such as “Down / Up”, “You With You” and “Blåmerkkshaart (Mi Amor)” – all of which have been widely streamed and played on the radio. Aftonbladet handed out four plus and did it with words like:
“An important and poignant self-portrait in a time when our lives must always seem perfect. Bryant is not afraid of being broken. She always sings with a sense of spontaneity, like taking the words straight from the notes in the phone or diary. “

From the start, Little Dragon has done everything in its own way with an always forward electronic pop whose two most distinctive elements are the unmistakable groove and Yukimi Nagano’s comforting voice which is an instrument in itself. Live they never cease to conjure or in various ways surprise. For example, Glide Magazine wrote about a concert in Austin last year: “Little Dragon is a special group with a sound that escapes classification, but it’s the artistry of their live show with Nagano front and center, which puts them on a plain of excellence where few others can dwell.
Few artists radiate the attitude “I do exactly what I want” in the same way as Princess Nokia. The Harlem-bred feminism advocate for the twenty-seven-year-old, whose name is Destiny Frasqueri, has developed on her own terms and despite the fact that she has hardly always chosen the easiest route, we never get anything but superb music from her. She may be best known as a rapper but has in fact tested a variety of genres and would prefer to call what she does for rock ‘n’ roll.
The band is touring in support of A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (Dirty Hit / Interscope Records), which Pitchfork declared “outrageous and eclectic” and Rolling Stone hailed as “spectacular.” It’s the quartet’s third consecutive album to top The Official U.K. Albums Chart. The 1975 took honours for best British Group and British Album of the Year at the 2019 BRIT Awards and were recently awarded two Ivor Novello awards – Songwriters Of The Year and Best Contemporary Song (“Love It If We Made It”).
Following acclaimed main stage performances at Coachella and Governors Ball, The 1975 headlined Reading and Leeds in the U.K. in August 2019. The band won praise for its spring 2019 U.S. shows. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said, “The 1975’s Matt Healy redefines rock stardom.” Praising their “raucous rock,“ the Boston Globe hailed them as “one of pop’s most exciting acts of this decade.” Reviewing their Governors Ball set, Billboard said The 1975 presented “a powerful sense of unity…The performance is a balance of impassioned and euphoric.”
Canadian rocker Bryan Adams has been topping the charts since he released his first album in 1980.
He’s written tens of hit singles including: ‘Heaven’, ‘Please Forgive Me’, ‘Summer Of 69’, ‘Run To You’ and the massive hit single – ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’.
He continues to sell out concerts across the globe and has recently released his album ‘Get Up!’

Fletcher is an American singer-songwriter who was one of iHeartRadio’s Artists to Watch 2019 and she has made waves especially with her single Undrunk. She is all about authencity and honesty in her music, and is something of an anti-popstar. Her songs take on heartbreak and strong emotions.
She is joined on her European tour by English up-n-coming singer-songwriter L Devine, who brings attitude-filled and melody-heavy pop.
With the hosts Sina Valiollah and Nazanin Nour, an entire sparkling evening with ice dance shows, traditional jumps of fires, children’s activities, fragrant food and fantastic artists from all over the world!
The artists that gild the evening include Andy Madadian, Sasy, Mozhdah Jamalzadah, Jasmin Kara and Kiosk! Information on all artists and other programs will be available shortly. The party is being streamed live both internationally and to several cities in Sweden.
The fire festival is a non-religious celebration that has been celebrated among many different peoples for thousands of years to welcome spring and is part of the Persian New Year Nouroz. In Persian, the festival is called Chaharshanbeh Suri and is always celebrated on the Tuesday before the Persian New Year, which in turn falls on the spring equinox. Just as in the Swedish traditional Valborg celebration, nature’s change is greeted with flaming fires, that winter is spring and that the light comes back.
The fire party is celebrated at the same time in Gothenburg and Malmö and in all cities there is free admission to the festivities!
Hey ho, let’s go! On April 17, Club Bittersweet invites you to an evening to pay tribute to the Ramones. With classics such as “Blitzkrieg Bop”, “Sheena Is A Punkrocker” and “I Wanna Be Sedated”, the Ramones laid the foundation for the seventies punk wave and influenced countless bands to pick up the guitars and start playing. Ramones minimalist rock ‘n’ roll proved that a perfect song requires no more than three chords and a chorus to scream in. No one can have avoided how Antwerp-born Amelie Lens has completely taken over the global techno scene in recent years! She plays with such explosive energy that it is difficult not to get caught up in total trans. Richie Hawtin describes her set like this “A mix of old and new strong techno records, tough but not hard, fast and throbbing, hypnotic and energised” That should say it all! In just a couple of years, this giant has achieved more than many artists can only dream of. Now she is finally coming to Kontact to do her biggest gig on Swedish soil ever.

A guided tour of picture reports of war and peace in the Moderna Museet collection!
Image journalism broke through on a broad front during the interwar period, which changed how news was communicated to the general public. The new, small-screen camera that was easy to carry also contributed to greater freedom. It gave photographers the opportunity to quickly get out into the field and document everything from major traumatic conflicts to small everyday events. Among these photographers were Robert Capa, Ernest Cole, Hans Malmberg and Julia Pirotte.
Curator Anna Tellgren talks about some of their most famous image reports and how they ended up in the Modern Museum’s collection.
Free entrance! Limited number of seats. Get a seat ticket in the info desk. No advance booking.
