Allsång på Skansen returns for a new summer season

As you might well know, Allsång på Skansen is one of Sweden’s most beloved summer traditions and a real cultural phenomenon that brings people together across gerations. More than just entertainment, the singalong tradition reflects positive values often associated with Swedish society, such as community, inclusiveness and appreciation of shared traditions.

The eagerky awaited 2026 summer season just kicked off with the first show, in which the hostess with the mostest, Pernilla Wahlgren, was joined on stage by several celebrated artists such as Petra Marklund, Felicia, Thomas Stenström, as well as Basshunter joined by Finland’s Käärijä.

The summery spirit of togetherness was evident both for the people in attendance at Skansen and those watching it on TV not just in Sweden but across the Nordics.

We sent photographer Jytte Lindberg once again to capture the magic of the moments at Skansen, and here are her pictures.

Pernilla Wahlgren sang a version of Don’t Rain on My Parade, wishing it would not rain on the show, and the weather gods listened.

Petra Marklund did a singalong with the audience of her 2012 hit Händerna mot himlen, which has found renewed popularity in Norway with their men’s football team adopting the song as a sort of unofficial theme song of theirs.

Felicia perfomed her Melodifestivalen winner My System with her dancers and got the people partying.

Thomas Stenström did a singalong of Orup‘s Pojkarna i rad.

Hooja performed both during the main show and in the online extra, getting support from their Gällivare people.

Thomas Stenström performed his Leva för alltid, which is the official World Cup song of the Swedish national team.

Petra Marklund returned to sing her latest song Mitt hjärta en rebell, during which she demonstrated just how fit she is by singing while doing a plank.

Käärijä and Basshunter came on stage to perform their Swedish-Finnish collab Ja eller nej.

Felicia sang Carola‘s Fångad av en stormvind together with the audience.

Det Vet Du finished the broadcast part of the show with their unofficial World Cup song Kanna på.
