Christmas market at Skansen
The Christmas market at Skansen has been a yearly tradition since 1903. The market square is filled with food, treats and decorations and the bonfires are lit. All the historical houses and farmsteads are decorated and in the town quarter you can meet skilled craftsmen. There will be craft demonstrations and live music in the buildings where the tables also are set for Christmas dinner. Young and old can participate in the dancing around the Christmas tree and make their own Christmas decorations in the workshop. Christmas starts at Skansen!

SUPERDUPER guests are waiting and also other megacoola surprises for this revival.

At the fair you’ll have the chance to meet special guests. The actors tell about their careers and experiences and you can take the opportunity to ask them where the questions you always wanted answers for.

Participate in “SciFiWorld All Star Parade”, a cosplay parade twhere all characters are welcome, from Star Wars and cartoon characters for horror, zombies and manga!

At the fair in Stockholm, LudoSport offers free lightsaber training for both adults and children!

A full-size R2-D2 will go around the fair! This time R4 makes him company and they will also be joined by 2 mouse droids!

The premiere of Stockholm Hippie Market X-MAS Special.

Celebrate this second advent, with a small intimate and cozy market in Vinterviken’s garden. Come along during this winter day in the Christmas mood and in the pure hippie spirit. Here you will be able to find really nice and unique Christmas gifts from their hand-picked sellers, so you can buy really good gifts this year 🙂

Vinterviken’s garden café will arrange delicious vegan food and you can also warm yourself up with a mug of warm mulled wine.

Stockholm Santa Run is a charity event, all of the proceeds this year will be donated to Aktivisfonden.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Stockholm Santa Run is open to everyone! Invite your family, friends, co-workers, neighbours and strangers and pets.

The aim is to create some Christmas spirit by doing something for those in need, with the people you love whilst getting exercise with hundreds of other Santas.

Stockholm Santa Run is approximately 3km long. You can walk, jog, run or skip, it’s totally up to you.

Participants under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All children must be registered.

The market at Färgfabriken is one of Stockholm’s largest markets for design and crafts. Offer its visitors a unique selection, to shop directly from the designers and go home with something unique!

Among the market’s stalls you can visit the bar, which serves beer, wine and butter bread, among other things. There you can listen to live music.

If you are hungry, you are welcome to visit the café where fantastic brunch, Christmas butter sandwiches, delicious pastries, bubbly drinks and more are served!

In the yard you are met by an outdoor bar, with hot drinks and freshly baked saffron donuts. There are also market stalls with craftsmen, etc.

Stockholm’s Gillet arranges Stockholm’s oldest Christmas market with a range of high Swedish quality. Every year many people traditionally visit the market with family, relatives and friends. Do it you too!

Filmstaden’s Christmas Market will take place on Sunday, December 8 between 12-16. Experience a classic Christmas market in a classic style on film’s historical grounds!

Step through a snow-covered portal, where stars such as Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman walked and directors, such as Victor Sjöström and Ingmar Bergman walked through.

The area is open with classic market, flea, horse & carriage, open artist theater, and more.

Concepted upon Bjork’s most recent album ‘Utopia’, Cornucopia has been heralded as her most ‘elaborate stage concert yet’; the artists first ever production created with a theatrical team and artists. Cornucopia includes digital visuals created by media artist Tobias Gremmler, stage design by Chiara Stephenson, an Icelandic 50-person choir, the flute septet Viibra, a harpist, percussions, electronics and a number of bespoke instruments implemented in the innovative surround sound stage design. Björk herself performs from a custom reverb chamber which mimics how she records her voice. Custom costumes for the cast of Cornucopia were created by Balmain.

Cornucopia debuted as a residency show at NYC’s The Shed, receiving stellar reviews, with Rolling Stone commenting that it was a ‘spectacle of cutting-edge sound and image’.
