Apocalyptica plays Metallica by four cellos @ Skandiascenen

    18:30 -23:00
    15/03/2018
    Djurgårdsslätten 43, 115 21 Stockholm, Sweden

In 1996, the Finnish metal monster Apocalyptica released an epic homage in the form of a debut album “Plays Metallica By Four Cellos”. To celebrate the classic album, the Quartet has released the album remastered – with three bonus tracks (“Battery”, “Nothing Else Matters” and “Seek & Destroy”). Now the band meets its fans on tour!

Without guitars – but precious metal. It is Apocalyptica – formed by four cellists from Finland who are classically educated from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. It was the common interest in metal that meant the start of Apocalyptica – and over 4 million albums sold to date.

With own songs as well as covers like Metallica, AC / DC, Pantera, Sepultura, Apocalyptica has become a name that the entire metal world now knows. It has also involved collaborations with stars like Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Ville Valo (HIM), To Lindemann (Rammstein), Joseph Duplantier (Gojira), Corey Taylor (Slipknot) and many more.
