This year Tempo's theme is Family and the program is filled with interesting touches in the innermost sphere.
The word family can be sensitive, arouse thoughts of security and community but also a sense of disappointment. Missing a family or not having a supportive family around when needed. This year's theme puts the family under control. How can we look at an extended family concept? The biological family is one thing, but for many the self-elected family is just as important, if not more important.

During the festival, the ticket booths open one hour before the first show at each showroom and close when the last show starts.
Tempo is Sweden's largest festival for documentary expression. Since its founding in 1998, documentaries from all over the world have been presented that would otherwise not reach a Swedish audience. Tempo provides a unique forum to collectively present documentary works across genre boundaries.
