November is that time of the year many regard as dark, but funnily enough, Stockholm gives us many sparkly and enlightened ways to have fun and keep our minds away from the gloomy weather conditions. Such as the Stockholm Film Festivals, where stars of the movie world shine on the red carpets of the city’s cinemas and the light of the projectors on the screens takes us to worlds we have only dreamed of. Stockholm itself also starts glittering, when the streets are dressed with the Christmas decorations. No, this is not a dark time, it’s a time to see the light in different shapes.

Seven Worlds One Planet - Live in Concert
Ericsson GlobeEricsson Globe, Stockholm, SwedenSeven Worlds One Planet – Live in Concert builds on the most astonishing scenes from the BBC’s brand new natural history documentary series. To these, Hans Zimmer’s and Jacob Shea’s great soundtrack is performed live by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
After the success shows Planet Earth II – Live in Concert and Blue Planet II – Live in Concert, we now get to experience nature through the story in the new documentary series Seven Worlds, One Planet. The show will take concert visitors on an epic journey in time to when incredible forces tore apart the earth’s crust and created the seven continents – each with its own distinct climate, topography and unique fauna and flora. Like the previous BBC productions, the show contains fantastic scenes that move us across continents and give us a unique insight into the miracles that are constantly happening around us.
The show offers a journey of discovery to all the continents of the world, all of which carry their own history. From the colourful paradise of South America to the endless expanses of Asia, from the ice worlds of Antarctica to the warmth of Africa, from North America via Australia to Europe. We will be offered spectacular scenery, a fascinating animal world and unexpected stories. All accompanied live by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
Duration of the show: Approximately 120 min including break
Recommended age: From 6 years - 0707.May.Thursday

Cirque du Soleil: Corteo @ Globen
Ericsson GlobeEricsson Globe, Stockholm, SwedenCorteo, perhaps the most enchanting of all the arena productions of Cirque du Soleil, will be touring Europe. The show visits Sweden and stops in Stockholm and Gothenburg in the spring of 2020. On May 7-10, six performances will be given at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm and on May 13-17, seven performances will be staged at Scandinavium in Gothenburg. This unique production, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca premiered in Montreal during the Big Top in April 2005. The show has been watched by more than 9 million visitors in 19 countries across four continents.
Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a happy, festive and parade-like event illustrated by a clown. The show combines the actor’s passion with the acrobat’s grace and power to throw the audience into a theatre world of joy, comedy and spontaneity that lies in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.
The clown depicts his own funeral which takes place in a carnival atmosphere, supervised by quietly caring angels. When you compare the big to the small, the ridiculous to the tragic and the magic in perfection with the charm of imperfection, the show shows the clown’s strength and fragility, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the part of humanity that is within each of us. The music is lyrical and playful and carries Corteo through a timeless celebration where the illusion torments reality.
The stage concept and outline gets the audience in a theatre atmosphere that has never been seen before in a performance by Cirque du Soleil. The rear curtain is inspired by the Eiffel Tower, and the front curtain, which is hand painted, gives the scene a grand feel. It sets the tone for the poetic Corteo.
The Corteo ensemble includes 51 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from all over the world.
