Fit in the City: YLC weekly Crossfit Workout

YLC recently tried Crossfit and now we are giving you the chance to try it too! PT Karl Gullö from Crossfit Södermalm will share with YLC readers one Crossfit workout per week, along with educational videos and top trainer tips!


Hey masters of fitness! Let’s get to it. This week we are really going to test your balance, coordination and stamina. Because this week – you’re doing a workout called  “Griff”.

For safety reasons I don’t want you running anywhere near cars. If you think that you’ll feel stupid running backwards, pick somewhere in the woods where no one can see you. In case your like to show off (we all do), find a nice calm park without any dangerous vehicles.

This is a very short workout that will test how well you can run backwards. The key is to run the 800 meters forward as fast as possible without compromising your ability to then run 400m backwards. Find the right balance and make sure you practice running backwards before you start the workout.


Top trainer tip: Bring a friend to make sure that you don’t run into anything!
