Lots to see and do here, including family tours of Easter traditions at the museum at 13:00 and 14:00 on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th March (suitable for 6 years and over) and witch hunts! Inside Lekstugan, the lovely old playhouse, you can create Easter cards and learn how to do äggrullning the traditional way (20 SEK per child).

‘Colourful Experiments’ at the Nobel Museum
Easter in Sweden is full of colours, with spring flowers, stained feathers and painted eggs. But what does a colour actually consist of? In this colourful workshop, you will use real paint ingredients to produce a paint base. Then you can add pigments to get four different colours to paint with and take home. Chemistry at its most fun! The activity is offered for children accompanied unaccompanied.

Egg Hunting at Millesgården
Come to Millesgården during the Easter break and participate in our egg hunt! Get the clues at the entrance and then head out into the big park and navigate through Carl Milles’ sculptures and the artist’s home. When you put together four eggs in different colours, you can replace them with an edible egg!

Dr. Karin’s magical time machine wing at the Royal Swedish Opera House
We have many kinds of instruments here at the Royal Opera, but there is always room for new ones. Dr. Karin’s magical time machine wing is a new instrument that we welcome in Easter week. We can all go with Dr. Karin (Karin Haglund) on a journey through time and space in search of the missing music…

Easter on the Viking Line
At Easter, we have a French theme on-board! Playrooms are decorate in the tricolor and we can build our own Eiffel Tower of edible Playmais maize rods. We also provides bingo à la France and a quiz with questions, where all school children can learn about the French culture. There will also be an action-packed Moulin Rouge-inspired cabaret show (not on Rosella and Cinderella) with cancan dancers. As usual, there is also a ball pit, Youth and Nintendo Wii games room.

Easter at Skansen
Aside from the market, Skansen has a wonderful programme for families at Easter. This year features Easter crafting with marzipan, explanations of Easter traditions for children, the new Lill-Skansen, pony rides, story-telling and tours in English as well as Swedish. Easter Break at the Maritime Museum
This year Easter is the theme of “sea superstitions and secrets.” What did sailors do to protect themselves against all the atrocities at sea – storms, shipwrecks, pirates and sea monsters? We will have family tours, treasure hunts and our creative workshop, Ruskpricken.
We will also be showing the toddler film “Tigers and tattoos” every day. It is about a six year old girl, May, and her adventures with her tattooed Uncle, Sonny. On the same theme, take the opportunity to see our new exhibition on sailor tattoos, Faith, Hope and Love!

Children’s tour and Mosaic crafting at Stadshuset
During the holidays, there are special tours of City Hall for all our children and their families at 10.00. Take a walk through City Hall’s banqueting halls. Inspired by the Golden hall mosaics, we will then make you own mosaic in paper and take it home. The tour takes about 30 minutes and mosaic crafting about an hour.

Rubik’s Cube Contest at Tekniska museet
Participants from several different countries will be competing to see who can solve this classical puzzle the fastest, whilst blindfolded. The competition is open to anyone who can solve the cube, provided that it can be done in under 10 minutes, and it is possible to register on the site during competition days.
