    Monster Magnet (+ Pendej0) @ Debaser

    18:30 -23:00
    22/05/2018
Debaser Hornstulls Strand, Hornstulls strand, Stockholm, Sweden

    Support: Pendej0

Sweden’s favourites from New Jersey return! The last time they performed in Sweden, it was at Gröna Lund – which turned out to be far too small of a scene for the rock icons . Now Monster Magnet returns to Sweden for two concerts. Led by charismatic Dave Wyndorf, it will be a magical evening.

The songs “Powertrip” and “Space Lord” changed the music world forever. The New Jersey band Monster Magnet quickly became one of the front characters for “rock” and took a whole world by storm, a world that the band is constantly roaming around in all its corners – today.

    James Blunt @ Annexet

    19:30 -22:00
    23/05/2018
    Annexet, Arenatorget, Johanneshov, Sweden

With over 20 million albums sold, platinum records, sold out tours and five Grammy Award nominations, it’s easy to imagine why James Blunt’s career has been a triumphal trait. But the fact is that it was about to end before it even started. After being discovered by songwriter Linda Perry at the South By Southwest show, James Blunt debuted with the single “High” and the album “Back To Bedlam” in October 2004 but these went almost unnoticed. It wasn’t until the three-piece “You’re Beautiful” was released just over half a year later that he had his boom.

“You’re Beatiful” peaked the lists in ten countries – including Sweden, England and the United States. With the drag-and-drop, the album “Back To Bedlam” rushed up for the lists and became the best selling record in Britain in the twentieth century. Since then, the success has continued for James Blunt – every single disc he has released has sold platinum several times.

In March 2017, James Blunt released his fifth album “The Afterlove”, which include collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Stephan Moccio (Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd).

Inauguration - Brave New World by Dale Grimshaw (UK)

    18:00 -23:00
    24/05/2018
    Riddargatan 1, Stockholm, Sweden

    – To have a Dale Grimshaw solo exhibition at Wallery in Stockholm is more than a dream come true says Jmmie Hall owner of Wallery.

    ABOUT
Dale Grimshaw was born in Lancashire, in the North of England. During a difficult childhood, his drawing and painting became extremely important to him. He developed his skills at college, firstly with an Art Foundation course at Blackburn College and later he studied fine art to degree level at Middlesex University in London.

Dale has a successful gallery career. He has had five solo shows in Signal Gallery, London and numerous group shows including those Berlin, Paris, New York, Stockholm and Rome. His shows have been widely recognised in the press and online. Articles written about have been published in The independent newspaper, Juztapoz magazine and Art Of England Magazine.

More recently he has been devoting time to street murals and has been widely recognised as one of the most powerful and talented of street artists on that scene. Over the past five years he has been invited to festivals nationally and internationally as well as painting many iconic walls across London, where he lives.

Dale’s work is boldly figurative and is inspired by his strongly held humanitarian beliefs. However this political message is always achieved by an emphasis on powerful direct emotions and a deep empathy for his subjects.

Paul’s talk is based on his recent book, Good Sweden, Bad Sweden, which explains how and why the idea of Sweden as a nation in crisis is spreading. It is a story of polarised agendas, twisted facts and the power of bad news. In a global battle of values, a negative image of Sweden has become a weapon used by populist politicians around the world. But why Sweden? What does this mean for Swedish business, tourism and diplomacy? And how can the country regain control of its reputation?
