The Stockholm Culture Festival and the parallel We Are STHLM were held from the 15th to the 20th of August 2017 and the festivals were once again a success, with a total of 750 000 visits during the six days.

India, celebrating 70 years of independence, was a big theme of the festival, but there was much more to see and do in the city. We have documented our favorite events of the festival week, including the Bollywood musical, Icona Pop‘s concert and the Rockbjörnen award show. and bring you a whole bunch of photos from our dynamic duo Karen Pérez Guzmán and Nina Uddin.

Tuesday evening brought party vibes also to the Skeppsbron stage in the form of the Colombian band Puerto Candelaria

Meanwhile in Kungsträdgården, the We Are STHLM festival kicked off with the Rockbjörnen award show. Including the Norwegian artist Kamfrdrops performing her #1 summer hit Jag trodde änglarna fanns.

Benjamin Ingrosso performed three of his songs at the Rockbjörnen Awards.

Cherrie finished the Rockbjörnen show by premiering her new single.

On Wednesday we caught the Finnish DJ Windows 95 Man putting on a Finnish Disco at the dance stage on Karl XII:s torg.

People were dancing to the campy Finnish disco hits and other total dancefloor fillers.

Zakir Hussain brough along with him the Masters of Percussion.

Wednesday evening continued with another rendition of the Bollywood Musical.

The colorful Bollywood aesthetic and the classic Bollywood hit songs made the musical a success.

Later on the same evening, on the same stage: the very cool hometown girls Icona Pop!
