Gustav Adolfs torg 22, 111 52 Stockholm, SwedenPanoramica – Stockholm’s Latin American Film Festival returns in mid-September with its largest edition so far. The Festival will take place in Bio Rio, Zita Folkets Bio, Skärisbiografen and Bio Valentino between September 17 and 22.
The theme of this year’s festival is BORDERS and in relation to the theme, there will be two seminars during the festival where Panoramica wants to highlight the groups that challenge the imaginary and material barriers that marginalise them in an increasingly polarised world.

Creed Bratton: An Evening of Music and Comedy
Wallingatan 37, 111 24 Stockholm, SwedenMystical, eccentric, kindhearted and talented are words that have been used to describe the actor and musician Creed Bratton over the years. On September 20, he visits Stockholm to invite offer two things he’s really good at – laugh and music.
Creed Bratton is best known for nine seasons of the critically acclaimed American version of the TV series The Office where he plays a fictional version of himself. During the nearly eight years that the series was broadcasted, many became delighted with Creed Bratton as the company’s Dunder Mifflin’s Quality Assurance Manager: The manager who never remembers the names of his colleagues and neither was embarrassed for it nor for his many bizarre statements.
Although Creed Bratton is best known as an actor, he is also an established musician with a career that spans almost five decades, and he has no plans to stop. In April, he released his seventh album While the Young Punks Dance with ten new songs, produced by Dave Way and Dillon O’Brian.

Stockholm Jazz Orchestra plays Coltrane
Kungsgatan 63, 111 22 Stockholm, SwedenSongs like Naima, Giant Steps, Afro-Blue, My Favorite Things, In a Sentimental Mood, Central Park West, Impressions and many more will be featured in partially new arrangements.
John Coltrane is one of the greatest jazz musicians ever with a tremendously important role in the development of jazz. He died in 1967 at the age of 40 out of liver cancer. He became famous during his time in the Miles Davis group and appeared on the record “Kind of Blue” the world’s best-selling jazz record.
His own group had a super hit with the album “My Favorite Things” on Atlantic where the soprano saxophone played a leading role. The latter part of his career was devoted more and more to freer very spiritual jazz.
Coltrane also had classic collaborations with Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk and singer Johnny Hartman and others in 2016 he would have turned 90 years and he’s celebrated three years late but better late than never.
A concert with energy, swing and ecstasy with world-class soloists.
Stockholm JazzOrchestra celebrates 34 years in business in 2019 and has played all over the world. A large number of CDs have been released and many radio productions with the band have been heard mainly in P2. The band wants to present modern swinging big band jazz rooted in tradition with inspiration drawn from today’s jazz music. A new CD with music by Peter Knudsen was released in June this year, “Nature Spirits” on D.O records.
