Death Cab For Cutie @ Cirkus
Cirkus, Djurgårdsslätten, Stockholm, SwedenIt is not enough to say that Death Cab for Cutie revolutionized the indie rock landscape – they created a whole new continent for it and showed that emo music was a part of its core. With the 2003 Transatlanticism, the American band not only gave rise to one of their most emotional albums, but at the same time coined, in their own words to explain the indescribable emotional gap between people. Suitable for a band whose music itself seems to resonate an incredible depth, an insight into our stormy feelings. Since then, they have album after album, let every song, pave their place in the world and our lives. On August 17, the band is finally back with the Thank You for Today album, and on February 11, the band returns to Sweden for a show at Circus in Stockholm.

Opening Reception: Bernar Venet - Angles
Västra Trädgårdsgatan 4A, 111 53 Stockholm, SwedenBernar Venet – Angles
Opening ReceptionOne of the most celebrated conceptual artists working today, Bernar Venet’s extensive oeuvre is a culmination of intellectual rigour, artistic dexterity and creative investigation of materials ranging from coal and asphalt to steel.
His success was celebrated with a retrospective at the New York Cultural Center when he was just 30 years old. His signature Arcs, Angles, Straight and Indeterminate lines spring forth from intensive mathematical studies of chance and chaos. They can be traced through his work’s evolution from illustrations, to wooden frames and, ultimately, his famous steel sculptures.
Throughout his career, Venet has employed a variety of genres including painting, photography, sound and performance to explore both material and form, as well as existential questions of perception, time and spatiality.
