Chelas – There’s a New Mexican in Town

Located at the trendy Hornstull neighbourhood of Södermalm, at Verkstadsgatan 4,  you’ll find Chelas, Stockholm’s newest Mexican restaurant. Chelas opened its doors in July of 2019. The name comes from the Mexican slang word for beers and a phrase the Mexicans use when they want to socialise with friends and family: “Saca las chelas”. Literally translated it means “Bring out the beers”, but it can actually be better interpreted as “Let’s have some beers and hang out”.

Unique Stockholm Restaurants With A Great Wine List

The wine culture in Sweden is expanding, especially with the increase of vineyards in Skåne in the south of the country. In fact, 42% of all alcohol sales in Sweden consist of wine, and this is very different from brännvin, the traditional Swedish drink that translates as burn-wine. You can of course buy wine from the state owned Systembolaget. However, the only other place that you can buy wine and enjoy a glass is in licenced restaurants and bars that serve food. There are some great restaurants in Stockholm that unite their food and wine menu in perfect harmony, taking equal consideration to both.

    22/10/2018-23/10/2018
    Berzelii park 1, 111 47 Stockholm, Sweden

The three musicians Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavi Siljamäki found each other early in the college, sometime at the turn of the millennium. Basically, they beat gold at once and could soon see themselves riding in the commercial dance wave of the 21st century. With their sweaty edits by Radiohead, Madonna and Delerium, they played from day one at festivals around the world. In January, the group released its fourth album, Common Ground, which was received by open arms by fans worldwide.

With faster internet connectivity, their radio show “Trance Around the World” could reach the whole world on their own terms. On 2012, they reached 30 million listeners. Every week. As their sound began to adapt to the arenas they already filled, the shows also grew to unmanageable monsters. In 2007, they ruled what might have been the world’s largest outdoor festival ever, at Barra Beach in Rio De Janerio, with an estimated one million participants. The new Common Ground album was ranked third in the American billboards, making the release of their most successful set of list placements so far.

Leon Bridges is always 100% quality. With his golden voice, retro style and unmistakable passion for music, Bridges had an unprecent break through with his debut album “Coming Home” from 2015. The album featured Bridges as a soul representative out of order and someone who definitely plays in the same league as the idols Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. On May 4th, Leon Bridges released his brand new album “Good Thing” to the great joy of many – the already released singles testify to a musical experience far beyond the usual. October 28, Leon Bridges makes a long-awaited appearance at Circus in Stockholm.
