Shockholm’s 15th Halloween celebration takes over Sergels Torg

Our friends at Shockholm have been making the streets of Stockholm more spooktacular for 15 years now! This year, Scandinavia’s largest Halloween parade pulled a big crowd to Sergels Torg, with many of those in attendance serving killer looks for the parade and the costume contest.

People gathered at the square for a welcome from the Shockholm founder Bill Schacht. The evening was hosted by Anna Jois aka the Queen of Dreams, and some familiar Shockholm characters like Twizz the Clown and Bridie as the Zombie Cheerleader joined in for entertainment.

The impressive swordsmen Lukas and Eray were fighting fire with fire and the hosts also had to give it a try with their tiny torches.

The participants of the costume contest were presented in different age groups, from the cutest little 0-4 year-olds up to full-grown adults at 35+.

Then it was time to head off for the parade, from Sergels Torg past the Opera House and to the Royal Castle. Here are some of our favorite looks from along the way.

Once the parade reached it’s destination at the Castle, there was a surprise waiting for all the people down by the waterside. A big heart was set ablaze, reminding everybody to face the times we are living in with love and light.

The parade then returned to Sergels Torg for the announcement of the winners of the costume contest, who were rewarded with some great prizes. The Best in Show (the headless girl in the green dress) won a trip to Transylvania and the actual Dracula’s Castle.

Thanks to the Shockholm crew for another fun Halloween night, already looking forward to the 16th edition in 2026!
