Yoga Games face on!

When you are a yoga geek and told you are given a ticket to the Yoga Games in Stockholm starting today, I can only assume that is how Charlie felt when discovering his Golden ticket: pure excitement.

I must admit I am still trying to keep up with the amount of Yoga events happening in this city every week! This one seem to be a pretty big deal: the very first Yoga Games took place in 2011 in Gothenburg and is today the biggest yoga related event in Scandinavia!

They were then introduced in Stockholm in 2015 and are coming back this year on February 10th, 11th and 12th at Münchenbryggeriet (Söder): 3 whole days of yoga classes from Yin to Yang, restorative to Ashtanga, going through Vinyasa, Hatha and Meditation, as well as workshops with teachers and yogis from all over the world!

rusty_wells22(1)Throughout Saturday & Sundays you can register for a bunch of different classes with mostly intriguing and sometimes enigmatic designations, when booking your tickets online.

I must say I first was slightly put off by the prices, (a ticket for 1 day – Saturday or Sunday – sells now for 190 euros). But the program and list of teachers is quite impressive though. As well as the variety of themes addressed.

Still, if you cannot afford this “early Valentine’s Day present” for yourself, there will also be free classes available. Drop in an hour before!

YGS17-TopI have been to a Yoga Fair once before, in London, and I must admit I felt a little bit overwhelmed, wanting to see, do and try everything at once and left the place exhausted. But I am a Yoga teacher now and hopefully that will help me keep my countenance…and focus.

I’ll be back to let you know how it went!

Namaste.
