    O/Modernt festival

    19:00 -22:00
    14/06/2019-19/06/2019
Ulriksdals slott, Slottsallén, 170 79 Solna, Sweden
Reflections of the musical past in the present explored through the O/MODƏRNT Festival at Ulriksdal Slott Confidencen.
For centuries the past has been the source of inspiration for artists, not least those dedicated to the craft of musical composition.
O/MODƏRNT (meaning ‘Un/Modern’ in Swedish) celebrates this “looking back” to the past by exploring the relationships between the work of old composers and the artistic and intellectual creations of modern culture, be it in music, art, dance, theatre, film, poetry, literature, academia and so forth.
In June 2019 Festival O/Modernt explores and ‘misreads’ the rich, diverse and complex reception of Beethoven’s ever-looming musical and ideological presence. MIS/READING BEETHOVEN breaks down generic barriers in order to re-engage with Beethoven’s extraordinary legacy, celebrating the work of his forebears and inheritors, and taking some exhilarating steps into the unknown.

    Sthlm Americana 2019

    13:00 -23:59
    15/06/2019
Södra Teatern, Mosebacke Torg, Stockholm, Sweden

Sthlm Americana returns for the third time to Södra Teatern & Mosebacke on June 15, 2019.

The organisers describe Americana as: creating a festival that they wouldn’t want to miss for the world, but that originally could only be found in the U.S.A. south. A place where high quality music is in the center of the community. The reception of the 2018 festival was above all expectations, and as a thank you to the audience’s confidence they’re expanding with an additional stage for the 2019 edition.

Besides continuing to present concerts under the open sky on the Moseback terrace, they’re now also open the doors to Kägelbanan!

Past festivals have been visited by artists such as Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, John Moreland, Lindi Ortega, Colter Wall, Dylan LeBlanc, Christian Kjellvander, Whitney Rose and The Handsome Family.
Ordinary festival pass to Sthlm Americana 2019 costs SEK 1,050 excluding fees.
