Life starts retracting indoors, but not only homewards… This is also a time for indoor music and film festivals, dining out at cozy restaurants or attending fairs like the Baking and Chocolate Fair. Oh yes, this is also the time we like to dress up like ghosts and pumpkins and go trick-or-treating. Let us guide you to some of this months event highlights, things to see and do in Stockholm.

Chelas – There’s a New Mexican in Town

Located at the trendy Hornstull neighbourhood of Södermalm, at Verkstadsgatan 4,  you’ll find Chelas, Stockholm’s newest Mexican restaurant. Chelas opened its doors in July of 2019. The name comes from the Mexican slang word for beers and a phrase the Mexicans use when they want to socialise with friends and family: “Saca las chelas”. Literally translated it means “Bring out the beers”, but it can actually be better interpreted as “Let’s have some beers and hang out”.

Unique Stockholm Restaurants With A Great Wine List

The wine culture in Sweden is expanding, especially with the increase of vineyards in Skåne in the south of the country. In fact, 42% of all alcohol sales in Sweden consist of wine, and this is very different from brännvin, the traditional Swedish drink that translates as burn-wine. You can of course buy wine from the state owned Systembolaget. However, the only other place that you can buy wine and enjoy a glass is in licenced restaurants and bars that serve food. There are some great restaurants in Stockholm that unite their food and wine menu in perfect harmony, taking equal consideration to both.

Shout Out Louds are Adam Oleinus, Bebban Stenborg, Carl von Arbin and Ted Malmros.
One of Sweden’s most established indie band Shout Out Louds is back with new music for the first time in four years. They recently released the song As Far Away As Possible, the first taster from the upcoming album House which lands in February 2022. This winter they go on an extensive European tour!

The Swedish music wonder has for many years pampered fans all over the world with pop music at the forefront, something Shout Out Louds can take a large part of the credit for. The band has in many ways been influential for the Swedish indie scene throughout the 00s. For the past 20 years, they have toured regularly in the United States, Europe and large parts of the rest of the world. Toured mostly as a headliner, but also with international acts such as The Strokes, Kings of Leon and Depeche Mode. They have also performed at several of the largest festivals in the world, including twice at the American Coachella festival and performed on both Jay Lenos and David Letterman’s TV shows.

Shout Out Louds released their debut album Howl Howl Gaff Gaff in 2003.

    Trentemøller @ Fållan

    18:00 -22:00
    27/03/2022
    Fållan
    Fållan 10, 121 62 Johanneshov, Sweden

More than 15 years that have passed since the groundbreaking debut “The Last Resort”. Now the Danish composer, musician and producer is up to date again. AtHis sixth album “Memoria” is due to be released soon. Then he and his live band come to Stockholm for a gig at Fållan.

“Memoria” is a strong contrast to the 2019 atmospheric exploration on the album “Obverse”. This time he has created an album that almost requires to be performed live by a band in front of an energetic audience. And that is exactly what we can expect.

Prior to the 2022 Memoria Tour, Trentemøller has worked with the legendary lighting designer Leroy Bennett (Nine Inch Nails, Prince, Lady Gaga and more). In the band we find, among others, the Icelandic solo artist Disa, whose fragile voice fits Trentemøller’s haunted singing loops perfectly. In addition, Silas Tinglef (2nd Blood) and Brian Batz and Jacob Haubjerg from Sleep Party People also appear on stage together with Trentemøller.
