Clarion Hotel Stockholm turns 15 years
Ringvägen 98, 118 60 Stockholm, Sweden15 years ago, Clarion Hotel Stockholm first opened the doors on Ringvägen 98. In the middle of Skanstull, Petter A. Stordalen made the building that would become Södermalm’s live meeting place. Many thought it was crazy to build a hotel on a highway – but here it stand 15 years later.
4 million guests have passed through its doors – this will be celebrated with a big party! Their anniversary coincides magically with the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo celebrated around the world. Since Latin America lives in the heart of Clarion, they want to celebrate this with Mosquito in the form of a rarely seen Fiesta! On the 5th of May, the Music collective Mosquito, led by DJ Thomas Gylling’s, will take on a plethora of dancers, musicians, DJs, artists, drummers and a boozing carnival feeling. 18:00. In the restaurants, bars, the reception, the ramp and in the hotel’s all corners and crutches, it will be danced and partyed until late night under the direction of Thomas Gylling and his many secret guests …

Find Brooklyn Brewery’s own hangout in a bar upstair with DJ Gonzalez behind the turntables and the bar full of Brooklyn Beer. Of course, representatives from Brooklyn are in place to chat with beer and hang out with you.

From Friday 16.00, the wall in the lobby changes shape and becomes a graffiti wall for the weekend where artists from Graffitisthlm work on an artwork that will be ready on Saturday morning for all guests to view. In room 7074, GraffitiSthlm puts out paintings inspired by Graffiti’s world and of course they are also in place for a guided tour between 15.00 – 19.00 for those who wish.
Daytime Saturday May 5, the 56 stunning Nordic artworks that Clarion Sthlm houses will be exhibited and here art director Martin Wickström will host a guided tour of the hotel’s entire floors to tell us about the artworks and the artists behind them.
