The best part of the Swedish summer is of course Allsång på Skansen (at least if you believe Pernilla’s own hype). The live sing-along show is a Swedish cultural institution, still going strong during its 90th summer.
This week’s TV show brought both nostalgia and fresher sounds with artists including Rick Astley, EMD, Thomas Stenström, Felicia Takman and Tommy Cash.
Let’s revisit the Tuesday night show through the pictures of our Allsång photo specialist Jytte Lindberg!

The super-pro of a host, Pernilla Wahlgren, also welcomed the international audience watching via their TV screens in Norway, Finland and Denmark. The Finns were told “Muumi on paras!”, and of course we agree with that sentiment!

Thomas Stenström kicked off the evening’s proceedings with his song Carpe Diem.

Peter Jöback and Ola Salo led the audience in the first sing-along song of the evening, Sånt är livet.

The loveliest pop starlet Felicia Takman sang her heartbreak anthem I kväll måste nånting hända.

Pop and soul legend Titiyo got the audience singing the Cornelis Vreeswijk classic Somliga går med trasiga skor. She’s making a bit of a comeback after 10 years.

The boyband that never grows old, EMD – or Erik Segerstedt, Mattias Andreasson and Danny Saucedo – are reunited and they sang a medley of their hits from their glory days that were sometime between 2007 and 2011.

To celebrate national radio’s music quiz Melodikrysset having it’s 60th anniversary, the hosts Annika Jankell and Anna Charlotta Gunnarson joined in for a sing-along.

The cast of the comedy series Flykten till Östermalm also turned up for some laughs and of course another song to sing along to.

Ola Salo and Peter Jöback returned to sing their new duet Two of Us. The two of them will be doing an arena tour with their show this autumn.

Estonia’s hugely popular Eurovision entry Tommy Cash joined the line-up at Skansen for a rendition of his Espresso Macchiato.

You have been RickRolled! Pernilla’s own big idol since the 1980s, Rick Astley interrupted his holidaying in Sweden to sing Never Gonna Give You Up for Pernilla and the Allsång audience.

Thomas Stenström went on to play a bonus hour after the dusk fell for this year’s Allsångsscenen takeover.

As is customary for these special episodes, Thomas of course had some special guest stars, including the one and only Miriam Bryant. They did Miriam’s Blåmärkshårt (Mi Amor) together.

The other special guest Thomas had was none other than Maja Francis, with whom he sang his hugely popular Ser du månen där du är i kväll.
