Shockholm, the largest Halloween parade in the Nordics, is celebrating it’s 15th year on Friday the 31st October at Sergels Torg. The square is set to transform into a gathering place for ghosts, monsters and other fantastical creatures. Who’s coming?

Shockholm’s pre-party at Hard Rock Cafe gave us some sneak peeks of what to expect at the main event, including a fire sword fight, Twizz the Clown and the ghost of Bellman. Hard Rock Cafe gave a taster of some of their special Halloween treats like their BooBerry Burger and the Liquid Zombie drink. The Red Sightseeing Hop-on Hop-off bus also made an appearance.

On the week ahead of the big day, you can expect some costume workshops for children of all ages at Fryshuset together with Lovely Days, Monday to Thursday at 12-18, plus Friday 12-15. On Friday the kids will head off to the parade together afterwards.

On the actual Halloween day, the 31st October, you can expect some haunted food trucks at Sergels Torg already from 12 o’clock. The gathering for the parade is at 5pm, and there will be a show with performances at 6pm. The parade itself will go off at 7pm, returning back to Sergels Torg for an awards ceremony. The official afterparty will be at Hard Rock Cafe.

The costume contest at the parade is free for anybody to join and open to all ages from infants to seniors in different age categories. There is also a Haunted Doge Contest for dogs. The Best in Show winner will win a trip to Dracula’s castle in Transylvania!
