From 21–26 April, Stockholm Art Week brings together Stockholm’s art scene over the course of a week in which museums, galleries, art institutions and artist-run initiatives open their doors for openings, art fairs, artist talks and special viewings across the city. This year’s programme features anniversaries, new public works and encounters with both international and Swedish artists. The art fairs Market Art Fair and Supermarket Art Fair both celebrate their 20th anniversaries. This year’s edition opens on 20 April at Moderna Museet. Stockholm Art Week highlights the breadth of the city’s art scene with the aim of positioning Stockholm as an art city and Sweden as an international art destination. The city’s participants present an extensive public programme, as well as tailored content for art professionals and visiting guests. Valborg (Walpurgis Night) – 30 April
