Café Tacvba “Niu Güeis Tour 2018”:
Mexico’s biggest alternative rock band is coming Kägelbanan!

Café Tacvba is Mexico’s leading all-rock band and one of the most influential alternative rock groups in Latin America. During his nearly 30 years of career, the band is constantly evolving and surprises its ever-increasing fans. They have won several Latin Grammy awards, a Grammy and their album “Re” was named in 2013 “Number One Latin Rock Album of All Times” by Rolling Stones.

A constang throughout Café Tacvba’s career is renewal and a musical language that is constantly evolving through experiments and cooperation. The New York Times wrote “Cafe Tacvba has earned its reputation as Mexico’s most visionary rock band … treating rock as a genre worth sustaining only if it could be exploded, repeatedly.”

– For us, it is about communicating with each other. We are all four composers and everyone has something to say. We build our ideas on our own and then take them to the group where we mix our styles, says the group’s keyboardist Emmanuel “Meme” del Real.

Now Café Tacvba has launched its “Niu Güeis Tour 2018” which goes on long in the fall and takes them to Latin America, South America, North America and Europe. It’s the first time they come to Sweden and on Tuesday the 17th of July they play at Kägelbanan at Södra Teatern in Stockholm.

Putte i Parken isa free travelling festival that os doing three cities this year, Karlstad, Leksand and Stockholm. As the festival organisers want to reach their equality goals when it comes to the artists, the Stockholm edition gets an amazing all-female line-up. The highlights include some of YLC’s huge favorites like The Magnettes, Dotter, Esther Vallee and Orkid. It’s all for free, so get to the park to enjoy the music.

On July 27th, Ziggy Marley returns for the fourth time to Gröna Live with a long-awaited reggae vibe.

Ziggy Marley, reggae legend Bob Marley’s eldest son, was born in Trenchtown, Jamaica in 1968. On his father’s advice he formed with the siblings Stephen, Cedella and Sharon the band The Melody Makers 1979.

They played for the first time at Gröna Lund 1988, just eight years after Daddy Marley’s fourth and final play on tivoli. Since then, Ziggy Marley has returned to Gröna Lund twice in 1991 with The Melody Makers and 2011 as solo artist.

You can not buy a ticket for a specific concert without buying an entrance to the park, or the Gröna Card which gives free entrance throughout the season.
