Mexico's biggest alternative rock band is coming Kägelbanan!
Café Tacvba is Mexico's leading all-rock band and one of the most influential alternative rock groups in Latin America. During his nearly 30 years of career, the band is constantly evolving and surprises its ever-increasing fans. They have won several Latin Grammy awards, a Grammy and their album "Re" was named in 2013 "Number One Latin Rock Album of All Times" by Rolling Stones.
A constang throughout Café Tacvba's career is renewal and a musical language that is constantly evolving through experiments and cooperation. The New York Times wrote "Cafe Tacvba has earned its reputation as Mexico's most visionary rock band ... treating rock as a genre worth sustaining only if it could be exploded, repeatedly."
- For us, it is about communicating with each other. We are all four composers and everyone has something to say. We build our ideas on our own and then take them to the group where we mix our styles, says the group's keyboardist Emmanuel "Meme" del Real.
Now Café Tacvba has launched its "Niu Güeis Tour 2018" which goes on long in the fall and takes them to Latin America, South America, North America and Europe. It's the first time they come to Sweden and on Tuesday the 17th of July they play at Kägelbanan at Södra Teatern in Stockholm.
