Slowdive @ Södra Teatern
Mosebacke torg 1, 116 46 Stockholm, Sweden22 years after the launch of their last album, came the new self-titled album Slowdive – a record that shows how significant their classic albums have been in the dream pop scene and the huge quality the band still has. After a successful comeback as a live band in the summer of 2014, with a festival tour that started with Slowdive being one of the headlines of the influential Primavera Sound festival, it was always the band’s ambition to come back as a band with a new album. Strengthened by the success the live band has, the focus was on capturing the unique dynamics of the band, although it is usually the band’s melody champion Neal Halstead, who embodies most of the material. Now Slowdive finally returns to Swedish soil – February 22 at Kägelbanan, and February 23 at Pustervik in Gothenburg.
