Lollapalooza 2023: Pop Girls of Summer

Even though many of the bigger names at Lollapalooza 2023 were men, we were once again delighted to find such a variety of cool pop girls on the schedule on all three days. You may recall we did a gallery of the Lolla pop girlies last summer as well, so here’s another round-up of both Swedish and international artists that should be on your playlists.

First, let us point you to our more extensive galleries of some amazing Swedish pop stars, namely Zara Larsson, Cornelia Jakobs and Miss Li. Make sure to check out the photos and the articles.

In the featured photo above here, we have American sweetheart Sabrina Carpenter, who will actually be opening for Taylor Swift on some of her Eras Tour dates. She has recently been going viral with all her alternate lyrics for the outro of her song Nonsense, with different lyrics in every town. Here’s what we got: “He tapped it so good it’s hard to walk home, If I was a billionaire I would yacht home, Everyone’s so f***ing hot in Stockholm”..

In the meanwhile, here are more of our pictures of the many pop girls Lollapalooza Stockholm really spoiled us pop nerds with.

Chinchilla
British singer Chinchilla brought her empowering pop on the big stage early on Day One. A great booking from Lollapalooza, seeing as her very cool Little Girl Gone went viral on TikTok just about a month before the festival.
Molly Hammar
Molly Hammar did Lollapalooza for the second year in a row, graduating from the Park Stage to the bigger Bay Stage. She has had a major breakthrough in between the two festivals with her appearance on Så Mycket Bättre and gaining a Number One single with Ingen annan rör mig som du.
Holly Humberstone
English singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone won the Brit Award for Rising Star last year and she opened the Park Stage on Day Two with her atmospheric pop. Sweden’s own Olivia Lobato played on another stage at the very same time, so no photos of her…
Maisie Peters
Day Two continued with another trending English singer-songwriter, Maisie Peters. Basically coinciding with her festival performance, her latest single The Good Witch debuted at Number One on the official UK chart.
Daniela Rathana
Definitely one of Sweden’s coolest pop stars, Daniela Rathana did not care about the summer rain and neither did the audience. She came to slay and that she did.
King Princess
King Princess brought her queer main character energy to the stage with plenty of swagger.
Lizzo
American megastar Lizzo was headlining Lollapalooza’s Friday and rightfully so. Insanely catchy pop tunes and infectious energy, with an empowering message throughout.
Peg Parnevik
Sweden’s own American-raised popstar Peg Parnevik brought the proper amount of rockstar attitude. Catch her on the next season of Så Mycket Bättre.
Maja Francis
Ethereal singer-songwriter Maja Francis has also gained more followers recently through her participation in Så Mycket Bättre. Her pleasant tunes were a good match for the sunny afternoon.
Britain’s Becky Hill brought the dance party to Perry’s Stage. She has been the featured singer on many big EDM and dance hits, and has in fact won Best Dance Act at Brit Awards the past two years running.
