Cornelia Jakobs fans at Rockbjörnen

The 43rd edition of the Rockbjörnen awards was held during the Stockholm Culture Festival in front of a huge crowd gathered at Gustav Adolfs Torg. The readers of Aftonbladet had once again voted for their winners, and the spotlight was firmly on Cornelia Jakobs, who picked up two awards and gave an amazing performance to wrap up the show.

Here are our favorite pictures from the award show by our resident photographer Nina Uddin.

The first award of the evening was Breakthrough of the Year, which was presented by pop singer Felicia Takman and TikTok phenomenon Emil Henrohn. The award of course went to Cornelia Jakobs!
Swedish-Filipino star Newkid was the first performer of the evening,
R’n’B/soul queens Janice and Sabina Ddumba presented the award for group of the year, which went to none other than ABBA, who had impressed with their comeback after 40 years.
Since ABBA couldn’t be there, we were instead served a cool dance number to ABBA’s Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
Norway’s pop twins Marcus and Martinus presented the award to Fans of the Year, which went to the fans of Benjamin Ingrosso.
Latin pop sensation and Young Royal Omar Rudberg put on a real show. The boy sure can dance!
Omar Rudberg also brought along Norway’s Victoria Nadine for their duet Nakna.
Vocal powerhouse Molly Hammar presented the award for the Male Artist of the Year.
The award for the best male artist was picked up by Benjamin Ingrosso for his fourth time.
Klara Hammarström performed her Melodifestivalen superhit Run to the Hills.
Tone Sekelius presented the award for the Swedish Song of the Year, and Cornelia Jakobs came to pick up the honors together with her songwriting partners Isa Molin and David Zandén.
Rockbjörnen hosts Filip Dikmen and Natalie Demirian together with Anis Don Demina, who presented the last award of the evening to Female Artist of the Year.
The winner of Female Artist of the Year was Miss Li, and deservedly so!
The Rockbjörnen show finished with Cornelia Jakobs putting on a fabulous performance.
Cornelia was serving rock star looks and amazing live energy in Hold Me Closer, with the audience joining in on a sing-along.
For her second number Cornelia performed her forthcoming single Rise.
Cornelia held the audience wrapped around her fingers for the whole duration of her performance.
Make sure to catch Cornelia live if you can! The next chances in Stockholm are at the Rix FM Festival on the 28th August and at Mosebacke on the 14th of September.
