A Taste of La Dolce Vita: Sunday Brunch at Eataly Stockholm

If there’s one way to make your Sunday morning feel like a Roman holiday, it’s to spend it under the grand chandeliers of Eataly on Biblioteksgatan 5. The moment you step into this beautifully restored former theatre, you’re transported straight to Italy — the light, the laughter, the scent of espresso and freshly baked bread — all setting the perfect stage for one of Stockholm’s most indulgent brunches.

This is not just any brunch. Eataly’s Italian Brunch is an experience — elegant yet relaxed, luxurious yet full of warmth. The spacious dining hall glows with golden light reflecting off marble counters and crystal chandeliers, making you feel as though you’ve just been seated at a grand café in Milan or Florence.

A Toast to La Dolce Vita

Your journey begins at the beverage bar, offering a tempting selection of drinks. You can sip on a classic cappuccino or enjoy freshly pressed juices — but for those wishing to truly embrace la dolce vita, a mimosa or an Aperol Spritz is an absolute must. Whoever said Spritz was only for aperitivo hour clearly hasn’t been to brunch at Eataly. Here, it’s perfectly acceptable (and highly encouraged) to toast to Sunday sunshine and dream yourself away to Capri.

From Cold Bars to Hot Plates

Start your culinary adventure at the cold bar, where you’ll find a colourful spread of Italian flavours — creamy mozzarella salads, cold cuts, and a selection of cheeses like sharp pecorino and delicate soft varieties. Don’t miss the special cream hard bread, a small but delightful discovery that pairs beautifully with cheese or prosciutto.

Then, move on to the bruschetta station, where each slice of toasted bread is a miniature celebration of Italy’s simplicity and flavour. The salmon bruschetta is a clear standout — silky, savoury, and perfectly balanced. And while you’re there, grab a croissant sandwich — so soft, buttery, and flavourful it could give any Parisian pâtisserie a run for its money.

The warm bar is where Eataly’s heart truly shines. Expect an irresistible rotation of pastas, both vegan-friendly and meat-based, alongside risotto, pillowy gnocchi, and a variety of pizzas — some vegetarian, others rich and savoury with cured meats. Everything tastes freshly made and perfectly seasoned, as if straight from a nonna’s kitchen.

The Sweet Finale

And then comes the dolci bar — a dessert lover’s paradise. Here, temptation knows no limits. You’ll find tiramisu, cannoli, baci della nonna, and a dazzling array of pastries that look almost too beautiful to eat (almost). Every bite is a reminder of why Italian desserts have such a hold on our hearts — light yet rich, indulgent yet refined.

Honestly, it’s nearly impossible to leave without trying a little bit of everything. To resist would feel like a sin — and who wants to be virtuous on a Sunday, anyway?

A Feast for the Senses

During our visit, we did our best to sample it all — and can happily testify that every dish was bursting with freshness and flavour. The atmosphere was lively but never rushed, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure every guest felt like part of the Eataly family.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, showing visiting friends a bit of Italy in Stockholm, or simply treating yourself to a beautiful Sunday indulgence, Eataly’s brunch is the place to do it. Luxurious, delicious, and filled with that unmistakable Italian joy — it’s a feast for all the senses.
