Lunchtime Concerts at the Royal Opera in Stockholm: A Unique Experience

opera

Picture yourself enjoying lunch in a salon adorned with gilded decor and antiques, all while listening to the musicians of the Royal Opera in Stockholm. This experience is not only possible but is within reach for everyone!

At least two days a week, the Royal Opera hosts lunchtime concerts featuring its own singers and musicians, as well as other prominent artists. The concerts kick off at 11:45 a.m. (entrance starting from 11:30 a.m.) and usually last until around 1:00 p.m. Entry is through the grand entrance, immersing you from the beginning in the grandeur of the event.

But the experience doesn’t end with the music. The menu changes depending on the season, and during the Christmas period, they offer typical dishes from the “julbord,” the Swedish Christmas table. From herring to meatballs, you can savor authentic delights while enjoying live music.

These concerts are an excellent choice if you’re on vacation, a gift for someone, seeking a new experience, or simply love music. Don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in this unique experience at the Royal Opera in Stockholm!

Very disappointed, not an elegant experience. Felt like a concert at guilded school cafeteria. No table service, food was already on the table. Was a Pressbyrån quality salad shrimp salad, no service plate. One had to fetch one’s own bread, and stand in line to pay for very average wine. Coffee in a thermos on the table was cold. Music was for less than 1/2 hour.
