Sam Smith puts on a dazzling display of emotions

Sam Smith performing at Gröna Lund

British soul and pop singer Sam Smith was back in Stockholm for a summer show at Gröna Lund, and the audience was mesmerized by his vocals and powerful ballads, not caring much for the British-type weather of drizzling rain.

Sam Smith broke out on the international stage in 2014 with their debut album, which included chart-toppers like Stay With Me and I’m Not the Only One. Sam’s continued success has brought him Grammy and Brit awards, as well as an Oscar and a Golden Globe. They have continued to evolve as an artist, experimenting with different sounds and different genres, as well as collaborating with a range of musicians.

Sam Smith‘s latest album Gloria included the global superhit Unholy, and they have been touring on the back of that album for the past year, including a stop at Avicii Arena last year, and now a new Swedish date at Gröna Lund.

The audience was treated to a full catalogue of all the biggest hits and Sam gave the audience exactly what they wanted. They interacted closely with the audience and even apologized for bringing the rain. Sam also told they really love rollercoasters, so Gröna Lund was obviously the perfect venue.

Here is a selection of photos from the show by our very own Nina Uddin.
