The influential British-Sri Lankan artist M.I.A. always brings a dynamic stage presence and eclectic sounds mixing electronic, dance, hip hop and world music influences in her own recognizable style. She was back on Swedish ground to headline Friday’s line-up during the Rosendal Garden Party weekend.
M.I.A. actually came on stage 4 minutes ahead of schedule, and set the mood by playing Bad Girls early in the set. She had great-looking visuals on the video screen, and a crew of Swedish dancers helping her keep the show dynamic. Some of the highlights included her big politically charged hits Borders and Born Free. She of course ended the set with Paper Planes, which got the audience dancing and left them in a good mood.
Here are some of our favorite photos from her show.
