Stockholm Jazz Festival is offering a vibrant, city-wide celebration of jazz in all its diverse expressions on 10-19 October. The 2025 edition of the festival promises to feature over 250 performances, showcasing an eclectic mix of genres that extend well beyond traditional jazz, and bringing artists from all over the world to the city.
Now in its fourth decade, the Stockholm Jazz Festival is esteemed for its breadth and cultural resonance. The festival will take place at more than seventy venues around town, from concert halls to bookstores, from clubs to museums, from churches to cultural institutions. The program embraces styles such as gospel, folk, funk, hip hop, fub, R&B, soul, fusion and more.
Among the highlights of the festival is the acclaimed Grammy-winning vocal powerhouse Ledisi, who is set to headline a concert at Södra Teatern.
Marcus Miller – bassist extraordinaire known for his work with Miles Davis – is set to open the festival on 10th October at Immanuelskyrkan with his signature mix of funk, soul and groove. Saxofone and flute playing star Chip Wickham brings his swinging spiritual jazz to Fasching on 12th October.

Another standout evening features UK luminaries Cherise and Theon Cross performing at Fasching on 17th October, the former offering “wonky soul” and the latter bass-driven, genre-bending jazz rooted in grime, dub and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
In essence, Stockholm Jazz Festival 2025 presents a compelling tapestry of music and urban culture, weaving together local brilliance, international artistry, genre-blending innovation, and bold experimentation. Whether you’re drawn to jazz traditions, genre hybrids, improvisational intrigue, or simply discovering music in unexpected corners of the city, the festival offers something for every curious ear.
