Fresh Swedish Sounds: The Friday Playlist

It’s a sunny Friday in our fave city, peeps! Let’s celebrate! YLC’s own musicoholic Nina Uddin has put together a poptastic Spotify playlist with the freshest sounds of the Swedish music scene – just for you!

Our Fresh Swedish Sounds playlist focuses mainly on up’n’coming artists and fresh young talent from Sweden, including the likes of ElliphantNaomi Pilgrim and Marlene (all pictured above). A chosen few more established artists have also made it on to the list with their freshly released offerings, including Robyn, Lykke Li, Kent and Mando Diao.

The playlist is clearly dominated by numerous young women who are making their mark at home in Sweden, and many of them also garnering interest abroad as part of the Swedish pop wonder.

OF COURSE you’ll find the likes of NONONO, Tove Lo and Jasmine Kara, who have been featured on our pages before. Also make sure to have a listen to TARA, IIDA and If You Say So, who you can get to know better in an upcoming feature very soon. Not that we’re telling, or anything… 🙂

Have a listen and don’t forget to subscribe to the playlist, so you can stay on top of what’s hot on the Swedish music scene. The playlist will be updated regularly! Let us know in the comments what you think and what you’d like to hear more of!
