Apparat brings Berlin beats to Slakthuset

The super-talented Berlin-based producer, Dj and multi-instrumentalist, Sascha Ring aka Apparat brought some of the best of beats and sounds from the German capital to Slakthuset on Saturday night or shall we say Sunday morning with a 3 hour Dj set starting at 1 a.m.

Apparat is described by Resident Advisor as: “This apparat is one with flexible functions, and its sound is as eclectic as its musical horizon is broad. Its emotional chip features an option on happiness and its sound waves are able to tear your heart apart.” And that’s exactly what he did this weekend.

Slakthuset is THE sanctuary for techno and experimental mix of music from many electronic horizons. It was the scene for this, the first performance of Sascha Ring as Apparat in Stockholm in nine years! Last time the artist touched Swedish ground to perform was together with Moderat‘s first gig in Sweden last summer, though. A big part of the magic of this collision of Apparat and Modeselector  the German electronic music duo consisting of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, comes from the amazing front person Sascha Ring.

Now, with his solo visit to Stockholm, Sascha delivered a magical DJ set loaded with his Techno, IDM and Elektro, that completely oozed Berlin and had the dance floor flooding with raving souls, old and new fans of the DJ.

His solo album and collaborations with Ellen Allien – in addition to world-wide success in one of today’s largest and most modern bands Moderate as the headlinear of Roskilde Festival this summer – has put him on the map as a pioneer in electronic music. We hope we won’t have to wait another 9 years to be able to see him back in Sweden.
