Käärijä brought his crazy Cha Cha Cha party to Stockholm

The People’s Champion of Eurovision 2023, ie. Finland’s own Käärijä, brought his high-octane live show to Fållan in Stockholm on May 1st. He turned the venue into a neon-lit frenzy and had the audience join in on the crazy party in the best way possible.

This was the second time Käärijä played in Stockholm. His first appearance some months after his Eurovision success of 2023 was in his own words “pretty crazy”. After Stockholm he went on to Gothenburg, and he called this Swedish mini-tour Käärijä Allihopa.

From the moment he burst onto the stage, he had the audience singing along to the Finnish lyrics. A big part of the audience may have been Finns, but when Käärijä took a show of hands, he stated that the Swedes were in the majority. He also had international fans in the crowd, including people in the front-row, who had travelled from places like Germany and the UK.

With the pounding beats of the songs, Käärijä’s fun charisma and a healthy dose of humour, he delivered plenty of fan favourites including It’s Crazy, It’s Party, as well as his Joost Klein collab Trafik and his Hooja collab San Francisco Boy, which had clearly been a hit in Sweden.

The show of course culminated with his Eurovision hit Cha Cha Cha, which made the crowd go completely bonkers for the climax. The cheers after that seemed like they would never end and Käärijä looked pretty moved by that reception. The show could have been a bit longer, but the energy surely was at the top throughout the show and the audience really got a euphoric and sweaty celebration of sound and sheer joy.

Here are some of our favorite photos from the show by our in-house photographer Nina Uddin.
