Our favorites Scarlet played at Södertäljefestivalen and we got the chance to be there and capture the mayhem. Since doing Melodifestivalen twice, the dynamic duo have amassed plenty of very young fans, so the kids and their parents were out in force at Stora Torget in Södertälje, along with many other fans.
Scarlet isn’t your average band, their theatrical and creative approach makes every number a visual treat. Every headbang and every riff looks fun and feels like performance art. Their whole show is like a gothic fairytale with Scarlet Hunts painted as a skeleton queen and Thirsty channeling her inner vampire.
Also let’s not forget their meta-musical message about being yourself rather than fitting into a mold, and going your own way. That is a great message for all the kids to take away from the show. And it is great to see how they are being an inspiration and introducing the young ones to the rock and metal scene. It’s not just the visual flair and their melodic hooks, they are forging real connections with the next generation through empathy, presence and their powerful message: Be yourself. always!

Having literally photographed hundreds of concerts, this was the most fun show EVER to shoot and I think the pictures speak for themselves.
