As part of the Stockholm Culture Festival, Rix FM Festival 2025 returned to Gustav Adolfs Torg in front of the Opera House for another year with a lineup geared for the young (and the young at hear) of the capital, serving plenty of fun pop vibes in the summer evening.
The line-up was once filled with fan favorites such as Marcus & Martinus, Klara Hammarström and Peg Parnevik. We also got Maria Jane Smith, Ella Tiritiello and Hanna Ferm. Vella came all the way from the US and Christopher from Denmark. Erik Segerstedt brought along some old friends to the delight of the crowd.
Here are some of our favorite pictures of the lineup, in the order they performed.
Idol and Melodifestivalen alumn Hanna Ferm started the proceedings with her fun Swedish pop.
Sweden’s Eurovision representative in 2019, John Lundvik, was next in turn and he gave us some soulful pop with a smile on his face.
Vella is a young American artist with a strong ID in her voice. She recently signed with a Swedish record label, so it made sense to showcase her talent at Rix FM Festival.
Maria Jane Smith, of Smith and Thell fame, has kicked off her solo career in style and presented her material to the crowd at GAT, looking like a retro rock star.
Johnossi, consisting of John Engelbert on guitar and vocals, and Oskar “Ossi” Bonde on drums, followed up with more rock power to the people.
Peg Parnevik strutted her stuff on stage like the coolest of rock stars. She has established herself as a strong fan favorite and a role model for the young girls.
Denmark’s Christopher has a pleasant pop sound in his voice, and some might say he is also rather pleasant on the eyes.
Ella Tiritiello charmed the audiences in Melodifestivalen 2025, but you may have also seen her acting in the movie Sommartider. Or if you’re a music fan, you will remember her singing For a Better Day on top of Globen when it turned to Avicii Arena.
Klara Hammarström has gained her pop princess status with no less than four Melodifestivalen entries, which have all become radio hits.
Another Melodifestivalen 2025 finalist was up next, Erik Segerstedt with his Show Me What Love Is.
Erik also brought out his old EMD buddies Danny Saucedo and Mattias Andreasson, to pretty big cheers from the crowd (even though the youngsters in the front seemed too young to know them).
Finally to wrap up the evening, the ones the front row had actually been waiting for: Norway’s powerhouse twins Marcus & Martinus. They have been pretty much adopted by the Swedes, as they of course presented Sweden at Eurovision 2024, and work with a Swedish label.
