The Stockholm Lifetime Achievement Awards goes to Mary Harron

Film Director Mary Harron visited the 29th edition of the Stockholm International Film Festival to present her film “Charlie Says” and to pick up the Stockholm Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her prolific career and contributions to the world of cinema.

Your Living City didn’t miss the chance to talk to her on the red carpet and be present at the award ceremony.

After premiering her latest film “Charlie Says”, Mary Harron sat down to talk about the film at a Face2Face with the Swedish public. She also talked about her most famous films “American Psycho” and “I Shot Andy Warhol” and how the early years of her career as a music journalist helped shape her film-making, a time in which she was very active in the punk rock scene in the New York of the 70’s.

And of course Mary Harron will keep on bringing amazing stories to life on screen. She even gave us a scoop on a project she’s already working on about the life of Salvador Dalí and his wife Gala.

To conclude the night, director of the Stockholm Film Festival, Git Scheynius had the honour of presenting Mary with the Stockholm Lifetime Achievement Award.
