During 11-22 November 2020, the Stockholm Film Festival will occupy Stockholm's cinemas and show around 150 films from over 60 countries. In addition to film screenings, the festival also arranges parties, seminars, Face2Face and more.

To attend you must buy an ongoing membership first and then tickets to the movies you want to see during the festival. Purchased tickets are saved on your membership. If you do not want to become a festival member, you can instead buy a Try-on ticket, which gives you a temporary membership / ticket to a film. If you have bought Try-on tickets, you will show your order confirmation directly at the entrance to the cinema.

Stockholm XXXI Short Film Competition

Short films from all over the world compete in this cahegory.

 

FACE2FACE

During the festival, there are many visiting filmmakers who want to meet their audience. After some film screenings, the director or actor from the film is interviewed for about 15 minutes, when the audience also has a chance to ask questions.

 

RED CARPET

A Red Carpet screening is a gala screening of the festival's biggest films. 30 minutes before the show, there is a mingling in Skandia's foyer where drinks and snacks are offered. A Red Carpet show often has visits from filmmakers or actors for a subsequent Face2Face. All members have the opportunity to buy a ticket to the gala screenings.

 

SCHOOL CINEMA

With Skolbio, the Stockholm Film Festival guards the film and the cinema as a cultural form and platform for discussions. Film is a tool well worth using in school to discuss our existence and different types of power structures. Through a special offer aimed at school classes from year 9 and high school, the festival offers all school students from 15 years and up to watch brand new film from around the world during the festival at a very favorable price. This also includes an annual card for the festival. Accompanying teachers have free admission.

The festival cinemas open 30 minutes before the first screening every day from 11 to 22 November.
