Refused @ Berns

For a few years during the 1990s, all eyes were directed towards Umeå. At least those who liked loud music. The reason was the rare vital hardcore scene that filled the mid-sized city's leisure farms with angry, young people every week. The mother ship was the band Refused, whose afterburning proved to be a perfect breeding ground for hungry bands with a dream of once becoming as good and important as the role models. They never did. With the epoch-making album 'The Shape Of Punk To Come' from 1998, Refused changed not only the Swedish stage's perception of what loud music can be, but the whole world. The sequel 'Freedom' from 2015 showed that Refused never gave up its revolution, just waiting for the right time to return.
