At Skansen the festivities's program starts on Sollidenscenen in the afternoon, with a speech for spring, song and music, and at 21.00 the valborgsmässoelden (big fire) is lit. When spring feelings flow and we are filled with expectation, Skansen is the obvious place to celebrate Valborg! Skansen's tradition, date back to 1894, offers a varied content with early afternoon to round off with a moodful concert during the late Valborgsmässan evening.
Students have a free entrance with a valid student ID.
Program is divided in two parts on Sollidenscenen:
15: 00-16: 15 Sing on the student's happy day!
Student choir celebration in cooperation with the Stockholm Student Union's Central Organization.
Fanborg with flabgs and standards from Stockholm University's institutions.
The award "Student of the Year" is handed out and talks are held.
Spring singing with Stockholm Student singers as well as spex and crazy adventures with the orchestra Kårsdraget and the Ballet Kårsetten.
