STOCKmotion is the short film festival for all filmmakers in Stockholm. A total of 500,000 SEK is awarded in six different categories.
"The Stockholm film is gaining great success right now. 2017 is an exceptional year in which we had films contending in Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Toronto - the four most prestigious film festivals in the world. STOCKmotion shows all of these films in their strongest film program so far, "says Joakim Blendulf, director of the Film Stockholm / Filmbasen, which organizes STOCKmotion.
"Then we must not forget the width; We have films from many different parts of Stockholm County, from suburbs to inner city, from Haninge to Österåker. A mirror of Stockholm County right now from different angles.
"Among the international festival favorites, I can mention Julia Thelins Push It, Lia Hietalas My Gayster and Amalimbo by Juan Pablo Libossart," said Rafael Franco, project manager and film program manager for STOCKmotion.
