From the sky, a lonely young man is released, and the story of Varekai begins. He is thrown into the magic forest shadow, a kaleidoscopic world, pierced by amazing creatures. The word Varekai means "everywhere" on romani. Directed by Dominic Champagne, this production commends the nomadic soul and circus art. It is dedicated to all those who strive through endless suffering along the road leading to Varekai.
What once was a modest entourage of twenty street performers in the mid-eighties has now grown into an organization of 4,000 employees with heatquarters in Quebec. For more than three decades, Cirque du Soleil has performed his productions and has been seen by over 160 million spectators in over 50 countries worldwide.
