The city Christmas lights are finally on and the countdown begins! Spend an evening wandering the streets taking in the sparkling Christmas lights or browsing one of the many Julmarkets now appearing around town. Embrace the Christmas spirit… even if it is only November. Or if you’re feeling a bit humbug, then check out our fun alternative suggestions below.

 

Dave Brown exhibition at Berns

Dave Brown (aka Bollo the Gorilla from hit show The Mighty Boosh) is now exhibiting at Berns Asian and Berns Hotel his photographs of the real gorilla Mjukuu at Chessington Zoo, south of London. Starting October 23 together with Tough Crowd, a series of portraits of famous comedians. Meanwhile shown Browns articles Africa and Behind the Boosh with pictures from projects in Ghana and from the filming of the hit series.

Single release with Billy Momo

Tonight we celebrate the release of the new single “I’ve Got You! ‘. Billy Momo was founded in 2007 by the two gentlemen and since then has grown into a 7-piece band. A mixture of delta blues and southern hip hop.

Sober

Each month throughout the fall, Mårten Andersson to make the club Sober along with Southern Theater. Sober is crafted entirely from a sober perspective and you will be able to drink sweet good-alcoholic cocktails, non-alcoholic beers and other exciting things.

Sweden International Horse Show

The competitions, shows and exhibition will be held under the same roof in this unique setting for all horse lovers.

Herb Ritts – In Full Light

A flat tyre in the desert kick-started Herb Ritts’ career as one of the world’s most sought-after fashion photographers. With his graphic and powerful imagery he also developed into a popular portraitist who got artists and models to open up and reveal their true selves. “In Full Light” is a retrospective exhibition of Ritts’ famous, iconic images, and pictures that have never before been shown.

Stockholm Blues dancing

A brief introduction to blues dance; feeling, posture, basic steps, and finally some luck you can shine on the dance floor. We apply the partner rotation and gender-neutral teaching, i.e. you do not need to bring a partner, and you choose whether you want to lead or follow.

Be Bop A Luba Class Christmas

The show mixes Christmas songs with rock songs from the Roaring 50’s until the 2000’s. You will be treated to a different Christmas dinner, where we replace the traditional Swedish Christmas table against an American and all the delights that means.

Crucified Barbara

Now touring with their fourth album “In the Red”, offers heavy, uncompromising hard rock spiced with delicate melodies. Since the debut album in 2005 Crucified Barbara earned its reputation as a hell of a live band through diligent hard-on from the biggest festival stages to the dirtiest rock clubs, both on its own and as a support to the likes of In Flames, Sepultura, Motörhead and Backyard Babies.

Frederick Benke Rydan is back with a new dance performance at Dance House after the great success of “Swan Lake”. The “Stop. Play. Rewind. – The Monopoly Game” creates one of the nation’s most acclaimed choreographers a visually effective show with a mix of street dance and modern dance with specially written music by the likes of Johan Liljedahl, Kleerup, Mando Diao and Vendela Palmgren.

Wax & Gold continues to deliver and this time it’s none other than Gnucci that will be on stage! Ana Rab, better known by his stage name Gnucci, is an exuberant singer / rapper. You can call it rap, some call it tropical bass. It is undeniable dance music, but it’s also pop for a new decade, rich in many textures and sounds. Most simply put, using Gnucci her interest in a wide range of styles and musical areas to make bombastic basorienterade songs.
