Guy: exhibition by Erik Lundback

Last chance to see this exhibition by photographer Erik Lundback showing the man’s body in a new way. With his photo projects Guy wants to show that a naked man’s body can be just as sensual, soft and beautiful as a woman.

SHOCKHOLM 2014

Get ready – Scandinavia’s largest Halloween Parade and Events start this week!  23rd October to 2nd November.

Shockholm Bites!

Themed food initiative was a big success last year, and, we have some very exciting news coming up on that soon.

Shockholm: Exhibition

Will run for ten days, Oct 23 – Nov 2, and will now be at the legendary Hallwyllska Museum just a few blocks from Kungsträdgården. The theme for this year  is about Aghky, the monster which would steal your dreams, and how you de-feed that monster with your own Hero. What an incredible job from returning Shockholm artist Jessica Boswell.

Shockholm Halloween Parade

The jewel in the crown. Kicking off around 15:30 at Kungsträdgården on Saturday November 1 with the best ever set of prizes for our Best Costume Awards (see below), you will not want to miss a minute of the great fun.

 

Stockholm Literature

The 2014 Festival will feature 60 events over two and a half days. For two days, literature, art and science are brought together in discussions, readings and performances at Moderna Museet.

The Stable

The stable is a folk / pop duo that was formed in January 2014 and consists of Björn Holmgren and Kerstin Ljungstrom. They met at music school Rytmus in Stockholm where they study at Singer / Songwriter-line together. With two guitars and unique voices captivates the audience with simple and beautiful songs of great quality. They are currently at work in the studio with his upcoming debut EP and their first single Let Her Fall released on October 10 this year.

Workshop:  3D printing

A playful and educational workshop for you and your buddies. In three hours, you will learn to build a 3D model and create your own first printing!

Graffiti Course

History, sketching techniques, different styles, building up a painting in large format, 2×3 m.  Course materials are included. Bring comfortable clothing. We will be outside and inside.

Drömställe (Dream Place)

All Style Rookie Battle

Streetstar invites all Swedish dance schools to big dance competition at the House of Dance: Street Star Dance School Challenge. Friday October 24 organized “All Style Rookie Game” at the Dance Museum – a freestyle competition for all young dancers who want to develop their battle techniques.This competition is divided into two categories: 8-14 years and 15-20 years. It specializes 2 against 2, and select which / what styles you want to compete. It is directed only at dance school students where they represent their dance school, but everyone is welcome to watch the competition.

Joyce Tenneson: Light Warriors

Searching for her self. Through self-portraits and portraits of others. American photographer Joyce Tenneson’s work is characterised by her search for her true self and an exploration of human archetypes. In the beginning of her career she focused on the self-portrait, but from the early 1980s she concentrated on photographing others. Beautiful and enigmatic, her work is never ingratiating or banal. Fotografiska presents a retrospective exhibition of one of the most intriguing and influential photographers in the United States.

Anders Petersen

Anders Petersen photographs what he feels. His pictures are not about the rich and the poor, but about something much more profound. They are about that which makes us human. Fotografiska presents one of our most important photographers in a solo exhibition spanning his first images at Café Lehmitz in 1967 to new works. There is no chronology, but there is a continuous theme. It is about encounters. And about being present.

Fall Break Course in photography

Using fun exercises will guide you through Kamilla Kraczkowski digital shooting grounds. You get three days filled with fun and valuable knowledge that will help you develop as a photographer – you learn everything from dealing with different camera settings, basic lighting setups with studio lighting, to working with image composition. Are you between 14 and 18, interested in photography and feel that you want to learn how to take better pictures?
