Thirty Days has Dull November…’ starts the old rhyme. Luckily, Stockholm in November is anything but dull, especially for children! Ballet and babyraves, film-making and family days, Monster trucks and musical workshops – there’s something for everyone!

Streetstar Dance School Challenge

For the fourth consecutive year, Streetstar Sweden invites dance schools to a big dance competition. During November 1 to 3 together young dance talent from Swedish dance schools at the House of Dance. On November 3rd, everyone can enjoy the after-show party with 2 large dance floor where all our awesome DJ’s mixing the latest underground hits, so everyone in the audience are guaranteed to unleash!

When: Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd November

Where: Stora Scen, Dansens Hus

Family Day at the Royal Opera House and ‘Boys’ Day

Family day is for those who are curious about everything that happens behind the scenes; for those who ask, ‘how many yards of tulle is a tutu made of?’ and ‘what does a stage manager do?’  Meet the people who make the performances possible, dress up in our costumes and make your own mask!

For boys who love ballet, don’t miss Killdag with the Royal Ballet on November 9th! Your 8-10 year old will get to meet our male dancers and try everything from ballet to street dance. We offer sandwiches, fruit and drinks. Preregistration is required, so it is first come first served. Your ticket gives a discount of 50 SEK ballet performance Onegin.

Family Day at the Nobel Museum

Come and meet the inventors, including Alfred Nobel himself! Did you know he had 350 patents for inventions? Together with the Swedish Society of Tintin, we also celebrate Professor Calculus who turns 70 and gets great visit of Tintin Society honorary member, astronaut Christer Fuglesang! Ask questions about his spaceflight and buy his latest children’s book.

Sound of Stockholm: Children’s Concerts

The popular festival is back with 3 fantastic events for children:

Thursday 7th November at 13:15 – Där öronen möter själen – Duo Gelland at Rum för barn

Together with the children, the duo creates musical games and instrumental theatre that can be developed further with your friends at home. For children between ages 6-12. Max limit 30 participants – free admission.

Saturday 9th November at 12:00 – Babyrave at Foajé 3

Rave for kids on their own terms at baby-friendly listening levels. Rave-craving grown-ups are only welcome accompanied by a child! 50 SEK per entrant.

Saturday 9th November at 14:00 – Instrument Workshop at TioTretton 

Using new unexpected materials and combinations, new sounds and colours are produced.  With a little puttering they can become fantastic instruments. So why not do the environment a favor and create arts at the same time? The workshop is open for children between 10-13 years. Free admision

Monster Jam!

Monster trucks are back! Monster Jam is back in Stockholm with a large, lovely motor feast for the whole family. Favourites Grave Digger , Superman , and El Toro Loco will be there to challenge the other four-wheel superstars in tough races and spectacular freestyle competitions. You will love the carnage!

Film Workshop at Arkitekturmuseet

Learn how to produce films in a fast, fun and educational way with your film première on the same day! Media house Fanzingos run a film workshop, where each film group must consist of at least three participants. The group gets a “crash course” in film-making and is then assigned a short scene to shoot. Let your imagination run wild!

Kåldolmens day at Historiska museet

A festival for the whole family, where we celebrate Sweden’s humble cabbage roll. With live music, tasting workshops, lectures and crafts!

Children’s Tour of Långholmen

Ghostly thieves, pirates and dungeons form the themes for these wonderful walking tours of your child’s living city. During the tour you will see the large colour illustrations made ​​by the famous artist Annika Nordenskiöld, learn about the bunmaker, Gertrude and her two children who were detained on Långholmen on several hundred years ago and experience the atmosphere in an old, cramped dungeon. An exciting and enthralling trekking for children and very brave adults!
